31 Day challenge Red: better late then never

I had a feeling that something like this would happen, I make a deadline for myself and fate conspires against me. I wasn't able to get my red polish last night so I couldn't do my nails. I didn't get my Polish until late tonight, so this is probably going to be posted early Wednesday morning. I am actually still painting my nails as I type this.

I have decided that i want to make it my goal to try as many new techniques for my nails as i can. For day one I am doing a tape stripe look. I chose to do a warm look of Wet and Wild's Red Red over an old Maybelline bronze color called Gold Beam. I am not that happy with the red I got but I loved the color it was the nicest shade of red I found. Red isn't my favorite color, so finding one wasn't the easiest. What i noticed is that most of the reds had more of an orange tint, and that is very unappealing in my opinion. This polish however beautiful, streaks with top coat which you will see in the pictures.

Starting today

I am going to start a 31 day nail art challenge! I got it from this blog: http://www.chalkboardnails.com/2012/08/the-31-day-challenge-2012.html?m=1 she is really great, you should check her out! I am really excited about it, it will give me motivation, and give me a reason to use all my nail polishes! Before I start though I have to go buy a red nail polish, that is surprisingly the only color I don't have. Tonight I will put up my first post, I want day 19 to fall on my birthday. See you soon!
